Rome in 24 Hours
Rome in 24 Hours: The Perfect One-Day Itinerary
Rome, the Eternal City, is packed with thousands of years of history. If you only have 24 hours to explore, you need a solid plan. Start your morning early at the iconic Colosseum and the Roman Forum to beat the crowds.
By lunchtime, head towards the Trevi Fountain. Don't forget to toss a coin over your left shoulder to ensure your return to Rome! Grab a slice of pizza for a quick lunch, then walk to the magnificent Pantheon. End your afternoon wandering through the artistic streets of Piazza Navona, and wrap up your day with a traditional plate of Pasta Carbonara in the cozy neighborhood of Trastevere. Rome wasn't built in a day, but you can certainly fall in love with it in one!
💡 Useful Travel Tips for Your Visit
Ticket & Admission: A standard combined ticket (which includes entry to the Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Palatine Hill) costs around €18. Keep in mind that if you book your ticket online in advance (which is highly recommended to secure your spot!), there is an additional booking fee of around €2.
How to Get There: From Rome's main train station (Roma Termini), the easiest way is to take the subway Metro Line B (Blue Line) and get off at the "Colosseo" station. As soon as you step out of the station, the magnificent Colosseum will be right in front of you—super convenient!
